“For those who don’t know my story, when Larry Bastanza was elected President he asked me to backfill his VP position. Since then I’ve won multiple NSXCA elections to continue to be your VP. If you’ve ever met me, you know I’m an energetic, passionate person who pursues my goals vigorously. My goal now is to step up to lead the NSX Club of America and I am asking for your vote.
Accomplishments the past 3 years:
- Created an NSXCA brochure to help market our group to potential new members
- Key contributor to our website re-launch and a significant content provider
- Re-established monthly concalls with the NSXCA board for better engagement
- Strengthened our partnership with Acura and been a trusted contact for them within NSXCA for over a decade
- Secured coveted Quail tickets for NSXCA from Acura
Goals for the next 3 years:
- Increase membership by providing more value to members
- Offer exclusive NSX content to members via our website and NSX Driver magazine
- Ensure open communication with members and offer transparency into NSXCA processes (NSXPO bids, elections…)
- Establish tighter linkages with other NSX groups worldwide (Canada, Europe and Japan)
I want to be your president because I know I have the leadership and vision but more importantly I have the commitment to work hard on your behalf. Please trust me with your vote! Thank you!”
Peter Cunningham – candidate statement:
“Hello, I’m Peter Cunningham and I would be honored to serve as president of the NSXCA. In September of 1990 I had the privilege of being one of the first in America to drive Acura’s brand new supercar and I have been a part of the NSX community ever since. My time racing NSXs for Acura included competing in 50 races over five seasons, 26 podium finishes including 14 victories, 1997 GT Champion, and Second in points 2001 & 2002. I’ve applied that same spirit as one of the lead organizers of NSXPO 2017, working diligently preparing for the 20th anniversary of this special event.
I am the founder and owner of RealTime Racing & Logistics, Inc. Our Racing team has been fielding production-based cars on behalf of Honda and Acura since 1987 and is currently campaigning two NSX GT3 racecars in the Pirelli World Challenge. Our Logistics team has been the sole provider of dynamic driving events for Bridgestone/Firestone since 1993 and currently implements ~15 Drive & Learn events annually throughout North America.
I established the RealTime Collection Hall in 2016. It is the largest privately-held museum dedicated solely to the Honda and Acura brands. Many aficionados have thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the RTCH in person.
As a longtime racer and ambassador for the Acura brand and a successful businessman involved directly in the industry, I have the skills to keep this great club financially strong while welcoming and engaging enthusiasts of both generations of the incredible Acura NSX.”
