Spring Classic Driving Tour VI presented by Diehl Insurance

I hope you (and hopefully your co-pilot) are all excited and ready to participate in the upcoming Spring Classic Driving Tour VISaturday, April 14, 2018, departing from Amelia, Ohio – rain or shine.   The 2018 version will feature the most scenic roads of South Central Ohio, perfectly suited to classic sports cars and includes several stops at engaging venues.

Our group, “NSX Owners, Enthusiasts & Friends“, will start with the “Classics & Coffee & Registration” at 8:00 – 9:30 AM at the American Modern Insurance Group campus at 7000 Midland Blvd.  – off Bach-Buxton Rd. near Rt. 125 in Amelia.   We will have a Driver / Navigator Meeting with waiver signing and driving highlights reviewed by 9:30 AM.    A detailed route map and driving instructions will be provided for you at the morning sign in.

Our group will participate in our own “Grand Send Off” on The European Auto Specialists Ltd. sponsored Tour, leading with first car out at 10:00 AM.   We will have a unique driving route to enjoy, have multiple unique stops along the way, and then finish about 3:00 PM with a “Cruise-In Reception on the Ohio River” hosted by Front Street Cafe in New Richmond, OH – with all the other car and bike enthusiasts.

The selected charity for our contributions again this year is MATTHEW 25 MINISTRIES, located here in Blue Ash, OH, – who are always at the forefront of being one of the first independent charitable organizations to provide significant aid and assistance during catastrophic events across the county and around the world.   Their Qualified Charitable Organization Tax Number is #31-1348100.   Check them out and their wonderful good deeds at:       http://m25m.org

Remember, there is no charge to our participating group, just our support of our selected charity.   Upon check-in on Saturday, you’re requested to provide a check for $25 (or more) as a vehicle entry fee / donation to drive in the tour, and I will personally deliver all donation checks to the charity.   IMPORTANT NOTE: Please make your check to “Matthew 25 Ministries” and be certain that your address is printed on the check so you can receive your confirmation receipt back from them for charitable tax deduction purposes.

It should absolutely be great fun for all!

NOTE: We have room for three more cars.   If you know someone who would want to be our guests and participate with us, please let me know they will be joining us so I can accommodate them and their car.

Superior Acura/Cars and Coffee NSX Event in Dayton, OH @ Superior Acura
May 12 @ 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Hello everyone,
I hope you’ve gotten your special car out of hibernation, blown out the winter’s cobwebs, have it cleaned and prepped – and are ready to enjoy it!
With Special Thanks to our friend and fellow club member, Keith Collett, G.M. of Superior Acura in Dayton, the NSXCA MidWest Region has scheduled a multi-activity event for NSXs on Saturday, May 12.   We plan to meet and participate in a NSX corral at the Austin Landing Cars & Coffee (just south of Dayton on I-75) at 8:00 AM in the morning.   If you’ve not been here yet, you will be absolutely impressed.   This C&C has evolved into one of the premier car enthusiasts’ gatherings in the entire region.   Check out details at:  https://www.facebook.com/DaytonCarsAndCoffee/
At 11;00 AM, we will caravan on the freeway from Austin Landing to Superior Acura’s dealership and showroom at  60 LOOP ROAD, CENTERVILLEOH 45459.  Both venues are located right off their respective highway exits and are only a few miles apart.   Check out attached directions.
From 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Superior Acura will welcome us to their SPRING FLING Celebration and will display our cars in special priority parking spaces at the front of their location along the main road.  They plan to have food & beverages, games and entertainment.   Expect to have fun, socialize and rub elbows with some celebrities.   Multiple drawings will award special event prizes throughout the event.   More exciting details are expected to be announced.
Please RSVP to Wes Spryshak by April 29 so we can plan for adequate reserved space at both the C&C and the SPRING FLING.

The Geneva Inn is located on the south shore of Lake Geneva and offers delicious food, great service, and an unbeatable atmosphere. They have a separate parking lot where we can park our cars away from other customers. Following lunch we will take a drive up to Alpine Valley Resort, lasting around 45 minutes.

The Geneva Inn

The restaurant is expecting us at 1:30. They have an estimate as to how many of us to expect, but I would appreciate it should everyone who plans on attending letting Jeff know (and mentioning the number of people you’re bringing). Please RSVP to Jeff Gebhart.  He will be trying to keep an accurate tally which will help them to provide us the best service possible. All NSXCA members, NSX owners, former owners, enthusiasts, and their family members and friends are welcome. The cost of the event is free but plan to buy your own lunch.  Please consider joining us!

Carmel, IN Artomobilia Event for the MidWest Region @ Carmel, IN
Aug 24 @ 4:00 pm – Aug 25 @ 5:00 pm

Hello everyone!

Again this year, there is an excellent opportunity for our mid-west members to have a centrally-located regional get-together event in Carmel (Indianapolis), IN on Friday and Saturday, August 24th & 25th. If you aren’t already aware, the event on Saturday is called “Artomobilia” and is a high-quality Concours style car show that takes place in the entire Carmel Arts & Design District. This location is well known for its quaint shops, art galleries, antiques, restaurants, sidewalk cafes and special entertainment events (This will be “Something for Everyone” – It’s a special opportunity for guys and gals to do things together in addition to “Car Stuff”). It is a well-run event and attracts first class cars and patrons from all over the mid-west region. As we have done previously, we’ll again utilize this event as a platform for our NSXCA meet to socialize, have some fun and to promote our special NSX cars to the public. Check out the web link:

www.CarmelArtomobilia.com

Supported by Ed Martin Acura, we have arranged for a NSX Marque Corral during the show alongside the main display area for all our members’ cars. This location will have excellent visibility, proximity and ease of accessibility to the main display field. Our club goal will be to have a significant showing of our cars parked in one place that represent a cross-section sampling of heritage Gen. I vehicles (stock originals, mildly modified daily drivers, competition and extreme performance examples) and Gen. II models. No promises, but we are working to get support from Acura to include some of their “Special Vehicles” in our group.

We need your prompt feedback about this opportunity so we can coordinate the size of the area needed for the Corral and arrange for restaurant accommodations for our group. NSXCA can then complete our agenda and publish it for you. All suggestions are welcome at this point.

If you will participate in our NSX Marque Corral , please register your car ASAP and let me know, so I can make arrangements based on the anticipated number of participants involved. Use this link to register and send me a copy:

https://www.artomobiliaweekend.com/artomobilia

In addition to NSXCA having our corral of NSXs in the show on Saturday, you really should consider attending the “Fuelicious” event on Friday evening, August 24th, at the phenomenal Lucas Estate. In past years, those who participated had a really FANTASTIC time. It’s truly worth the investment!!! There are already some commitments from previous years’ participants and we need a few more to complete a full table of ten people. Check out the link and watch the full videos for both events. Tables are limited, so let me know ASAP if you are interested.

https://www.artomobiliaweekend.com/fuelicious/

As an alternate choice, we plan to have a group dinner arranged on Friday for those who don’t participate in the Fuelicious event.

The Artomobilia Event Team has partnered with Renaissance Indianapolis North Hotel in Carmel, just minutes from Fuelicious and Artomobilia, at 11925 N. Meridian Street, Carmel, Indiana. We enjoyed staying there previously, and it has a spacious and safe parking area (and a car-cleaning area with water hoses will be available). You should book your rooms by calling this hotel now at 317-816-0777for aSpecial Artomobilia rate (while available).

It’s getting really close, so I really need to get feedback ASAP from you if you plan to participate. The NSX Marque Corral registration is $20, and the Fuelicious event will require your payment up front for us to get a prime location table for NSXCA as a sponsor.

Looking forward to seeing you (and your NSX) in August!!!
